Health Disclaimer & Liability Waiver
Last updated: January 2026
This is the most important document on the site. By joining a session, you accept it. If anything here is unclear, email us before you pay.
Medical disclaimer
Dead Flexible is a movement and mobility programme. It is not medical advice, physiotherapy, or treatment. If you have any medical condition, injury, or symptom — past or current — consult a qualified doctor or physiotherapist before participating.
18+ only
You must be 18 years or older to join.
Health screen (PAR-Q)
Before your first session you must complete a short health questionnaire confirming, among other things, whether:
- You have a heart condition or have ever been told you should only do physical activity recommended by a doctor;
- You feel chest pain when doing physical activity;
- You lose your balance because of dizziness, or have lost consciousness;
- You have a bone, joint, muscle or other injury that could be aggravated by exercise;
- You have had surgery in the last 12 months;
- A doctor is currently prescribing medication for any condition (e.g. blood pressure, heart);
- You are aware of any other reason why you should not do physical activity.
If you answer yes to any of these, you must speak to your doctor before joining. You must disclose existing injuries or conditions to the coach so sessions can be adapted.
Assumption of risk
Physical activity carries inherent risk, including muscle strain, joint injury, falls, and, in rare cases, serious injury. By participating you acknowledge that you understand these risks and choose to participate voluntarily.
Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law (including the Consumer Protection Act), you indemnify and hold harmless Dead Flexible, its owner, the trainer, and any guest coach from and against any claim, loss, damage, or expense arising out of your participation, except where caused by their gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Your responsibility during sessions
- Work within your own limits. Stop immediately if anything hurts.
- Tell the coach about any pain, dizziness, or discomfort as it happens.
- Maintain safe space around you and clear obstacles from your training area.
- Use suitable surfaces and equipment.
- Stay hydrated.

This waiver is for information only and is not a substitute for professional legal or medical advice.
