POPIA
Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026
Dead Flexible ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, where it lives, and how to get it back or have it deleted. We comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 ("POPIA").
What we collect
- Name and surname
- Mobile number (for WhatsApp) and email address
- Payment reference (we do not store card data)
- Health and injury information you provide in the PAR-Q screen and waiver before your first session
Why we collect it
To run the programme, process your payment, coach you safely, and stay in touch with the squad. Your health and injury information is used by the trainer to adapt sessions and avoid making an existing problem worse.
Special personal information
Health and injury information is "special personal information" under POPIA. We collect it only with your explicit, written consent when you complete the health screen and waiver. You can withdraw consent at any time, but doing so means you can't participate in sessions.
Where your information lives
- WhatsApp (squad group and direct messages with the coach)
- The trainer's phone and a secured records file
- Our payment provider (PayShap / Snapscan) for payment processing
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with marketers. We share it only where the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep contact details for as long as you are an active member. Health and intake data is deleted within six months of your squad's last block, unless you choose to roll into a new block.
Your rights under POPIA
You can ask us at any time to: see what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email the Information Officer below and we'll respond within a reasonable period (and at most within the timeframes POPIA requires).
